Can I us SpyBLOG while hosting my site elsewhere?
Yes. The two services are independant.
My site is already hosted, how would they work together?
Most people think they can't use a blog with an existing web site
because most other blogs don't offer this choice. Rational thinking
is you must have a blog or a web site. You can have both, together
or separate as two different blog addresses. With SpyBlog the choice
is yours.
When you sign up for a SpyBlog you choose a user name. Unless you
designate otherwise, your user name will act as a sub-domain of our
blogware address (ex. username.blogware.com). Otherwise upon signing
up you can choose not to have your username as the blog sub-domain.
This alternative choice is availabe for the sake of privacy and freedom
of choice.
Freedom of choice means you don't have to use the naming combination
above at all! Just contact us through our helpdesk or call and request
your blog be mapped to your own domain or sub-domain. Our support
team will assist you in making the change.
Because your blog files are hosted on our servers this enables SpyProductions
to host the blog while your web site is hosted anywhere else. Here
are some third level (sub) domain names:
- BlogUserName.YourDomainName.com
Ex. john.supersite.com
- UniqueName.YourDomainName.com
Ex. thoughts.supersite.com
You can also have your domain name as your blog too.
- YourDomainName.com
Ex. spyproductions.com

Not only does SpyBlog offer image file hosting (and more space than
any other blog provider) we offer exclusive batch file upload! You can
browse your PC for individual image files and send them to your blog
gallery individually or you can send up zipped packages of image files
to your blog in one click. SpyBlog supports the following image file
formats:
- .jpg
- .gif
- .tiff
- .png
- .zip (zipped file of the above listed extensions)
Our one click batch image upload feature is an amazing time-saving
device. You don't need to learn FTP or use any special software. You
merely browse your PC using our 'Dashboard' web admin. Locate the file,
and press 'upload'. From there our software transfers up the file, unzips
(decompresess) the zipped files, resizes your images to a pre-defined
thumbnail size of our choice, they are automatically laid out in your
gallery and each becomes a hyperlink to a full size version. In addition
our software resizes those same zipped images as the full size versions.
All this is done in one click. Your only other task is to give the individual
thumbnails a caption.
